CRKT Ripple by Ken Onion Review

Reviewed by K.C. Kim

I had a chance to check out my first Ken Onion knife. The CRKT Ripple is a premium knife with premium looks and features. I instantly was interested in this knife as it has a beautiful design and fast opening action.

This gentleman folder has a slim well built design, lightweight and fast blade action. The metal CNC machined handle has an unusual scale like design. The texture of the handle provides a good grip. The Ripple has 44 holes to lighten the knife to only 2.9oz. The knife has a nice stainless steel belt clip that is removable to either side. The blade length is 3.125″ and is available in razor edge or combination edge.

The Ripple uses IKBS ball-bearing system to provide a smooth opening action. You simply push down on the flipper and the blade swings out with ease. This is by far the fastest one handed opening of a knife that I have used. Once the blade locks in place there is no play at all and feels secure.

The CRKT Ripple brings a higher standard for a quality knife with great finish and style. The blade is great and its fun flipping the knife open. I have found this knife work great in multiple purposes and performed remarkably well. This is now my favorite every day carry knife.
