Allen Edmonds Sapienza Review

I was looking for an upscale loafer and I believe I found that in the  Allen Edmonds Sapienza.  It is the perfect business casual shoe with it’s center gore wingtip brogue perforations in the comfort of a loafer.  When traveling I tend to wear one shoe and my last trip I wore one of the most uncomfortable shoes ever.  I told myself this is the last time I will ever make that mistake again.  On my next trip to visit my brother in L.A. I took the Sapienzas and boy was I was impressed by the comfort and style of the Sapienzas.

The Allen Edmonds Sapienza features premium leather uppers with timeless brogue detailing.  The Goodyear welted construction with single oak leather sole is fully recraftable which means this shoe can last many many years.  The shoe is Made in the U.S.A at the Port Washington, Wisconsin factory which is an important detail when buying quality shoes.  The shoe is on the 8-108 last which has an elongated forepart with a tapered and flatter toe.

The Allen Edmonds Sapienza is a new model for 2013 and the shoe I love as soon as I layed my eyes on it.  The Sapienza was built for travel as it can be worn with a fine tailored suit or casual jeans.  This versatile shoe is a slip-on which is important when you go through the security line and have to take off your shoe.  The loafer has a European styling that is fashion forward.

Allen Edmonds continues to churn out the best fine leather shoes in the world.  The company is well known for value, comfort, customer support and variety in styles.  The Sapienza loafers continue the trend of high end shoes at an affordable price.  The Sapienza’s will be in my shoe rotation as the ultimate travel shoe  I loved the Allen Edmonds Sapienza so much that I bought a pair for my Dad’s 70th birthday and he loved them so much.
